Once secured, Foster Parents will undergo a training/orientation program that will acquaint them with their new role.
Training will be provided through a number of approaches as follows:
1. Periodic staff meetings involving Foster Parents/Child Care Support, clinical representative, Director or designate.
2. Bi-monthly staff development that will focus on heightening child care skills.
3. Evaluations at: - one month
- six months
- one year and
- yearly thereafter
4. Feedback and support will be available for foster parents through:
- consultant support team
- on call member
